This experience has been amazing. From day 1 I have enjoyed every moment! Now let’s break it down.

My Team:

Sam she is incredible! Always so willing to help, answer any questions, and also explain everything we dont understand. She is such an asset to our class and also to the learning environment.

Albert is such an inspiring team member! His work ethic is unmatched and his knowledge helps us see the issue at task with logic and direction. I am learning so much from him!

Emmanuel reminds me of my brother! He makes everyone feel welcome and uplifts us! He is so supportive of our thoughts and helps us question what are we really trying to solve.

I feel so honored to be a part of this group! I am learning so much from everyone. We work well together. We see the big picture and I hope this will be reflected in our work.

First we start with

Surveys:

My team Sam, Albert, and Emmanuel started off our process by creating a dope survey. They crafted the perfect interview questions. The survey consisted of about 20 questions with the intention of finding out peoples experiences with Museums and Cultural Centers.

Some similarities:

A couple of people’s last museum they visited was the National Museum of African American Culture and History.

Age group: 26–39

Interviews:

The sweet spot for interviews is around 5. We interviewed 5.

I interviewed my brother and his experience of visiting his last museum. It was a good experience but of course there were things that can be improved.

On Saturday, we started our prototyping. This day was so much fun. Class goes by so quickly and me and my group just vibe so well together. We laugh, we share ideas good and bad, we share our insecurities and we support each other.

Some of the big ideas that came out of that day:

  1. Tattooing art on stray cats and dogs to celebrate art (while this would be inhumane it was cool to imagine dogs and cats in my neighborhood with Mona Lisa on them!)
  2. Getting art printed on baked goods and then delivered to peoples house.
  3. Using AR for Museum tours and experiences. Maybe from the comfort of your home?
  4. Roosters to be the alarm for Museums openings and closings.

These were just some of the incredible ideas discussed on this day! Looking forward to many more moments of dreaming big with my team!
